EAST MOLINE, Ill. (Aug. 29, 2010) – Ray Guss, Jr., had what most race car drivers would call a super weekend.  Even though he didn’t win Friday his finishing position was good enough to give him the track title at Davenport Speedway.  Then Saturday he took a convincing win and the track title at Jackson County Speedway.  Sunday he led the Sexton Ford IMCA Late Model feature flag to flag to take the win and his third track title of the weekend at Quad City Speedway.  Guss took the lead on the drop of the green and led all the way to the checkered flag.
Soon the racing was three wide behind him for second spot.  By the mid-race point it was Rob Toland and thirteenth place starter, Mike Murphy Jr battling for the position.  With just a few laps to go Murphy got a little to high and brushed the wall in turn two forcing him to drop in behind Toland.  At the checkers it was Toland second, Murphy third, Matt Ryan fourth and Mike Garland fifth.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (August 8, 2010) – It was Triple E Sales night at the Quad City Speedway Sunday and the racing action got a little late start due to earlier afternoon showers.  After some great qualifying races the grader was brought out to touch up the racing surface.  It seems to have worked as all five features featured two and three wide racing.
The first feature to hit the track was the Extreme Auto Glass Street Stock and R. J. Gonzales jumped out front.  After a couple of cautions on the second lap it was Gonzales out front with Rick Schriner and Chris Lawrence funning side by side trying to run him down.  The caution came out a few more times at lap six to end the cautions.  On the restart it was Gonzales back out front.  Gonzales went on for the win to become the first new winner of the night.  Lawrence was second with Schriner third.  Matt Werner came from his eighth starting spot to tak fourth with Rob Nylin fifth.  It appeared Ron Marks Jr and Mike Anderson had finished in the top ten but they were penaliczed to the rear of the field for post race altercations.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (July 18, 2010) – Ray Guss, Jr. , continued his string of domination at Quad City Speedway, Sunday, as he picked up another IMCA Late Model feature win, while continuing to build his points lead.
Other feature winners included Doug Crampton, A-Mods; Mark Vervynck, IMCA Mods; Chris Lawrence, Street Stocks; and Chad Tucker, 4-Cylinders.
Four cautions slowed the Late Model feature event, but nothing could deny Guss the win. He started inside row nine and methodically moved his way to the front. He got to third behind Mike Garland and Rob Toland and later moved under Toland for second on lap 13. He then moved up to the middle of the track and drove around Garland for the win.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (July 11, 2010) – It was a great night for racing once again Sunday and once again the racing surface at Quad City Speedway was in beautiful condition.  The track was in good enough shape it allowed two and three wide racing, even in the qualifying races.  After some great qualifying it was time for the Pepsi Mid-Season Championships.
The Extreme Auto Glass Street Stocks were first to hit the track.  Rick Schriner drew lucky starting spot number one and led the first lap and then the caution flew for a car spun in turn four.  On the restart Schriner went back out front but had first heat winner, Chris Lawrence running right up beside him going down the back stretch.  Lawrence moved out front on lap three and was getting into lap traffic by lap eight.  The caution flew for a corner tire out on the racing surface at lap nine.  Lawrence went back out front on the restart, this time with sixth place starter, Matt Werner right on his tail.  On lap eleven Werner got by Lawrence and went on to take his fourth win of the year.  Lawrence was second with Schriner holding on for third.  Second heat winner and ninth place starter, Korey Peterson was fourth with Ron Marks Jr. fifth.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (June 27, 2010) – Although only one division of racing had a repeat winner, the SNI of Geneseo A Modified is the only division to have a new winner every race night this year at Quad City Speedway.
Once more the racing surface was in excellent condition and by feature time it was smooth, dry and slick.
The Extreme Auto Glass Street Stock feature had a rough time getting going as numerous cautions flew early including one for Mike Anderson, who rolled his car in turn four.  Mike was OK and exited his race car unassisted.
Pole sitter Rick Schriner grabbed the lead on the drop of the green, but with the cautions the field was kept up tight behind him. Matt Werner went out front on lap six and never looked back as he went on for his third win of the season.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (June 6, 2010) – Seventy-six cars were on hand for the competition Sunday at the Quad City Speedway, with a track that was in perfect condition for racing.  A nice smooth race track apparently isn’t for everyone though. As the Extreme Auto Glass Street Stock took to the track for their feature race second heat winner, Matt Werner grabbed the lead on the first lap and then the first caution flew. The third caution at lap three saw three cars piled-up in turn four.  At lap five the caution came out again and two cars were sent to the pits for rough driving.
Before the race resumed on lap six the caution flew two more times. Werner maintained his lead through all this and by this time only eight of the original seventeen starters were left on the track, but the cautions were done flying.
