DONNELLSON, Iowa (March 30, 2010) – It may not be professional wrestling, but it should bring all the heavy weights of the IMCA Modified racing world, when Lee County Speedway  hosts “Modfied Smackdown,” Saturday, April 17.
With $2,000 to win guaranteed, and $3,050 possible if the winner can lead every lap, “Modified Smackdown” has the possibility of being one of the biggest IMCA Modified events in the country, not just the state.
Discount Tire and Service, in Keokuk, and owner Jim Gillenwater are the title sponsor of the first early season event in years at Lee County Speedway, and helped bring numerous sponsors on board as lap sponsors.
Bringing a twist to the lap money, not only the leader of each lap will rack up extra dollars, but so will the second place car on each lap. There will be $30 given to each lap’s leader, while $10 will be given to the car running in the second spot.
