ALEDO, Ill, (Aug. 22, 2010) – Chaz Gregory, of Pekin, Ill., who has been on a tear lately with the Illinois Outlaw Lightning Sprints, finally put the 2c car into the winners circle on Sunday night.
Mother Nature finally gave us some good weather for a night of racing at the Aledo Raceway, in Aledo, Ill. After 3 rain outs at the 1/4 mi fairgrounds a good night finally was on tap and a special Sunday night make up race was held.

Katelyn Miller wins Micro feature, trails by 10 in points
MACOMB, Ill. (Aug. 21. 2010) – Joe Bliven continued his dominance of the B-Mod class at Spring Creek Speedway, as he picked up his fourth win in six feature appearances at the Macomb shorttrack.
Katelyn Miller ran a sold Micro feature as well and cut her point deficit to just 10 points behind Andrew Funk with several point races still on the schedule.

QUINCY, ILL. (Aug, 22, 2010) - Justin Reed, Michael Long, Aaron Brocksieck, Jim Brown and Braden Johnson all took feature event wins at Quincy Raceways on Sunday August 22 during Best Buy of Quincy Night at the Races. Justin Reed tried to make up some points ground on Denny Woodworth in the chase to either drivers first Budweiser IMCA Late Model Track Championship as the points racing season is coming to a quick close.

BURLINGTON, IA. (8/21/10) – It was double the features, double the excitement, double the fun at Burlington’s 34 Raceway and it was a fan pleaser as Dirt, Dust and Speed presented Night of the Twins and Brian Hetrick Tribute Saturday night August 21. The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders were in action with not one but two feature events as well as the Miller Lite IMCA Modifieds and the Holmes Concrete Mod Lites. Getting wins were Kaley Gharst, Decatur, Il (sprints)., Matt Sutton, Macomb, Il (sprints), Jeff Morris, Long Grove, Ia (modifieds) and Mike Morrill, Altoona, Ia (mod lites).

QUINCY, Ill. (Aug. 18, 2010) – Quincy Raceways owners, Tony Rhinberger and Paul Holtschlag have announced the extension of the 2010 race season. In an effort to make up some of the race nights that were cancelled due to weather conditions earlier in the year the race season has been extended into the middle of October. All Season Grandstand and Pit Passes will be good for any of the events listed on the following schedule.

Guss gets another feature win in chase for title

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (Aug. 15, 2010) – Sunday night was River Bend Pizza night at the Quad City Speedway and River Bend Pizza of Port Byron gave extra incentive for the Veplaetse Excavating IMCA Modifieds by adding to the purse including a payoff of four hundred dollars to the winner.
The IMCA Modified feature got off to a rough start with a few cautions in the first two laps. After that the caution was put away for the remaining thirteen laps. Pole sitter, Mark Vervynck led the first two laps and on the restart he edged back out front but by the field had gotten out of turn two it was fifth place starter, Jake Waterman leading the pack with Jerry Durbin in hot pursuit. Waterman went on for his fifth win of the season and the four hundred in prize money. Durbin held on for second while holding off the challenges of twelfth place starter, Mike Fluegel who finished third. Vervynck held on for fourth with Joe Jones Jr fifth.
